SUNDAY WORSHIP
Jan 11 @ 10:00a
As we begin our study of the Gospel According to Luke, we need to understand some background to the writing. We will answer the questions: who is the author, when was it written, how was it written, and what are its major themes.
SOUPER BOWL COMPETITION
It’s that time of year again, when we support Greenhouse Ministries. The competition begins next Sunday, January 18. On that Sunday, bring in your donations and place them at the display in the foyer. Text me with your total items (not total points, my spreadsheet will do that) before 9:15a. Your class totals will determine how you align on the bracket and how you will be competition within upcoming weeks. Remember that this year, we are collecting Vienna Sauage (1 pt/can); Toilet paper (3 pts/roll) and Peanut Butter/Jelly (5 pts/jar).
MIDWEEK ACTIVITIES ARE BACK
Wednesday Nights @ 6:15p
There’s a place for the whole family. Preschoolers are with Sung Zing. Elementary kids are with Joyce Adams and Wanda Robbins (this month) as they learn about worshiping God. Middle and High Schoolers are with Jerry Posey and myself as we are studying through John’s 1st Letter. Adults can pick from a Bible study on 1 Corinthians led by Marvin Copaus or a dedicated prayer time facilitated by Gary Young. Join us and you will be blessed, and you will bless others.
WINTER WEATHER AND CHURCH ACTIVITIES
If we have severe weather and it is determined that church activities need to be modified or cancelled for the safety of our attendees, you will be notified in advance by email/text. The announcement will also be posted on the church website.
UPCOMING EVENTS
LONG RANGE PLANNING
I know many of you need to begin planning for vacation and family trips for the year. So here are two of the biggies that you need to get on your calendar.
