We had a great day! It’s hard to get an exact number at an event like that, but we’re estimating 150+ with many Daycare, Mother’s Day Out and community families attending. A special thank you to Beth Henegar for coordinating everything!

We can only imagine how Peter must have felt as the final days of Jesus’ life unfolded: devastated that his friend had been killed on a cross, disappointed that Judas had turned his back, heartbroken that Rome had seemingly won. But perhaps Peter was most saddened that he had denied Jesus three times when Jesus needed him most. We all know the pain of discouragement that comes by our own foolish choices, as well as the discouragement of things outside our control. The story of the resurrection shows that there is no disappointment that the resurrected Jesus cannot overcome. Peter is given the chance to restore relationship with the Savior with one simple question, “Do you love me?” Jesus asks us the same question as well. Resurrection hope comes from knowing that Jesus is faithful even when we are not. Jesus loves us back to wholeness. Do you love Him?

ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING
During the month of April, we are focusing on our North American Missionaries. Each Sunday we will have a video about a specific work that our missionaries are doing. We are also collecting a special offering that will go to support our missionaries. Please pray about how much God wants you to give. Mark your envelope with AAEO (or Annie Armstrong or Easter Offering, something like that). DEACON NOMINATIONS
During the month of May
Pray about who you feel God is calling to serve as a deacon at Southeast. Ballots and qualifications are available in the foyer. You can place your completed ballot in the offering plate or in the ballot box in the foyer.
MISSION TRIP
July 12-19
We will be conducting VBS at night (Sun-Thu) and work projects during the day (Mon-Thu). Friday will be our free day to have some fun. You must have completed the sixth grade to go on this trip. The cost is $350, which will include everything except four road trip meals and any snacks or souvenirs. The deadline to sign up is June 1st with a $100 deposit. Please see me if you have any questions or to sign up.
LOVE OFFERING
May 3
As many of you know, Byron Staton has been in the hospital for multiple back surgeries or Physical Rehab Centers since January 23 of this year. Now, because he has not been able to be at work, his job has been terminated. Because of the lack of income and the mounting medical bills, we are going to take up a love offering for the Staton family at the conclusion of our worship service on May 3. Please, continue to pray for Byron’s full recovery.

May 3
Hillview Baptist Church (3113 Lascassas Pike) will be having a Sportsman’s Day & Banquet on May 3rd. Outdoor events will open at 2pm with Archery, Axe Throwing, BB Turkey Shoot, Bait Casting, and more. Prizes, Ice Cream Trailer and more! Banquet & Message by special guest & acclaimed outdoorsman Dr. Jimmy Sites starts at 5pm.
